C.B.S. Transportation, Inc. was founded in 1987 with the idea of providing a specialized service unmatched for on-time deliveries and attention to detail.  The owner of C.B.S. Transportation, Inc. has over 30 years experience in the trucking industry.  This helps the company better understand the needs and requirements of our customers.  C.B.S.'s top quality people are thoroughly familiar with the machinery, pollution equipment, and other specialized commodities that we expertly move everyday.  This helps ensure a move that goes smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
 

       C.B.S. Transportation, Inc. operates from only one location.  Our 3 acre facility in Hammond, Indiana houses our complete trucking and warehousing operations.  A 25,000 square foot building contains our 5 bay full maintenance shop, our "in house" tarp repair, and our dispatch and operations center.  This central location makes our response to inquiries, tracing, and rate requests almost immediate, with no cumbersome agent or regional dispatch systems to deal with.  Most requests for a freight quote are answered within one hour!!!  Our convenient office hours are 7:30 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday and 8:00 am until noon on Saturdays.

        In 1987 C.B.S. Transportation, Inc. started with 6 power units and 25 trailers. Since then we have grown to include 30 power units and over 60 trailers to meet our customers needs. Our equipment includes Flatbeds, Single Drops, Double Drops, Stretch Trailers, and Multi-Axle configurations. With this equipment we are able to haul equipment with weights up to 110,000 pounds. From its inception C.B.S. has specialized in hauling overdimensional and overweight machinery throughout the United States and Canada.  We provide transportation solutions for all of our customers and meet the many varying needs in today's transportation market.
