** Must drive without chargeable accidents during each bonus period (If a Chargeable Accident occurs it will Nullify the Bonus ONLY in the bonus period the accident occured)

CBS Transportation, Inc. ( founded in 1987) is a specialized flatbed carrier located in Hammond, IN.  CBS has 30 power units and a wide range of trailers including Double-Drops, Single-Drops, Flatbeds, and Expandables.  Our Drivers averaged over $44,000.00 per year in 1998.  Our drivers get paid for everything they do: Loading, Unloading, Layovers, Tarping, Breakdowns, Weather Shutdowns, etc.  Our fleet includes Peterbilt and Freightliner Power Units with CAT and 12.7 Series 60 power.  All equipment is maintained by our own shop to our own exacting standards!!  We haul machine tools, pollution equipment, dust collectors, rotary blowers, over-head cranes, and many other types of machinery.  For Examples of our loads click here.

-   Open Door Policy with the Owner
    A personal atmosphere (Known by Name and not a Number)

-   Per load basis up to 350 miles = 50 cents per mile, time or daily.  Drivers with 2 years or more senority
    with our company receive an additional 5 cents per mile  Our current hourly rate is $14.00 per hour.

-   40 cents per mile for trips from 351 - 500 miles and over.  Drivers with 2 years or more senority with our
    company receive an additional 5 cents per mile.

-   35 cents per mile 501 miles and over/$200.00 minimum (whichever is greater)  Drivers with 2 years or
    more senority with our company receive an additional 5 cents per mile.

-   Additional 5 to 20 cents per mile for overdimensional loads.

-   Stopoffs are paid on a per load basis.

-   Layovers- $50.00 per night after the first night.

-   Trip Lease/Brokered loads paid at 35%.

-   Loading/Unloading Time - $11.00 per hour after the first two hours.  Stamps must be used.  (Not paid on
    trip leased or brokered loads.)

-   Major Medical paid 100% by the company after 60 days.

-   $10,000.00 Life Insurance - Paid by company after 60 days.

-   Vacation pay = 1/52 of your previous years gross earnings.
                        Vacations are as follows: 1 year                      = 1 Week
                                                                   2 years                    = 2 Weeks
                                                                   3 years and over     = 3 Weeks

-   Holiday Pay = 6 Paid Holidays per year (New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day,
    Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).  Holiday pay is 8 hours x $14.00 = $112.00.  Employee must be
    here 30 days to receive holiday pay.

-  Liberal Rider Policy - Anyone over the age of 14 years old can go with our drivers.  One rider at a time.
